To establish and maintain the highest possible standards of medicine in the county of Queens.

Additional information: Founded in 1989, Thursday’s Child, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity whose mission is to develop, coordinate and provide services to People Living with HIV/AIDS here on Long Island. These services include housing and advocacy assistance, rent and utility bills. We also provide for critical needs with food vouchers and personal hygiene items. We also own a multi-family dwelling to provide a true home to those in need.
Since 1995 we have received Ryan White federal grants to provide housing aid and direct emergency financial assistance.
Donations and grants to our Safety Net Project allow us to assist those who may fall though the cracks of the maze of human frailty and the slashing of social service budgets. Requests to Thursday’s Child are often children’s clothing, winter coats, replacing an appliance, holiday gifts, or medical needs such as vitamins or eyeglasses.
